Engineer for a commercial product environment. If you are interested

involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle and

My client is actively pursuing bright, passionate, motivated Java
Developers to continue the growth of a small (less than 15) software
development organization. In this environment, you will utilize and
build on your skills in the following areas: iterative development,
Java applications design and development, open source technologies,
enterprise application development, database concepts and more!

In this role, your daily activities will include (and not be limited
to) the following:

+ Creating new features for B2B commercial products
+ Working within an iterative development environment
+ Collaborating with other high-performers to assure proper testing
of the product
+ Participating in activities such as white board discussions, code
reviews and mentoring junior developers
+ Contributing to the support team's success in resolving customer
related issues
+ Making an impact on the growth and new functionality of a product
within a high-growth sector!

Requirements:

- Over 5 years experience developing Object Oriented applications
- Minimum of 3 years experience designing and developing complex
java-based applications
- Advanced skills in Server-side Java coding and solid understanding
of J2EE environment
- Experience developing applications that involve relational
databases
- Familiarity with database design concepts
- Experience with SQL coding
- Ability and willingness to be involved in quality assurance
process
- Ability to collaborate well within a team environment
- Passion for exploring and learning new technologies
- An innovative mind-set
- B.S. in C.S., Engineering, or related

Pluses:

+ Experience developing commercial software products
+ Experience with iterative development
+ Experience with / understanding of Eclipse
