DESCRIPTION:


This position is responsible for technical support of all corporate applications.

This individual can expect to spend their time investigating problems, logging updates into a database, answering questions related to open tickets, resolving problems for users, troubleshooting and resolving computer software problems.
This
support is conducted verbally over the phone, via email or on-site, or thru a remote connection.


The Application Support Analyst position has three different levels I, II and III based upon the depth of skills and experience.
The III level is the highest level of individual and is expected to have more in-depth business knowledge and technical skills.
This position provides first and second level internal technical support for all NCM associates.

As directed, this individual conducts analysis and evaluations of new technology in regards to the PC application, PC hardware, or other corporate solutions.
It is the responsibility of this position to provide recommendations based on the changing technologies and operating environments.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

·

Proven experience and functional knowledge of standard CRM applications or comparable customer databases

·

2 years in installing and configuring MS Office Suite software, and other business applications


·

2 years in knowledge, administration and support of MS NT/2000/2003, MS Windows 95/98/2000/XP desktop OS


·

Excellent telephone oral (English Language) communication


·

Excellent written (English Language) communication


·

Excellent comprehension (IT technical and/or general) of verbal (English Language) and written (English Language) instructions, processes, procedures and policy


·

Good time management


·

Good organizational (computer file structuring, documents)


·

Exposure to Network Management tools e.g. Microsoft SMS, switches


·

Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.


·

Ability to work in a fast paced environment.



ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
:


·

Work after normal business hours and weekends when required.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


·

Provides subject matter expertise within the specific applications, such as the Sales, Construction Management, Accounting, Purchasing, etc.

·

Participates in all activities for implementing and rollout of new or existing systems and application for the user community

·

Conducts training for the user community on systems and applications, and participates in configuring the application based on the defined business processes

·

Involved in post-implementation support and maintenance, and change management of the applications.

·

Defines documents and understands existing business processes and procedures and works with divisions to implement new procedure to maximize efficiencies with the new or existing systems

·

Involved in testing activities, which can include documenting the test plan writing the test cases/scenarios, executing and running the test cases, documenting and submitting problems to development team for correction Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a support environment


·

Handles all assigned technical support calls and enters all updates related to such calls to the centralized Help Desk database.


·

Provides first and second level of technical support for all corporate systems and software components.
Escalate all issues to engineering department, as needed.


·

Provide management accurate timelines, progress reports, and recommendations related to open ticket status.


·

Assist in the development of end user and technical system documentation


·

Assist users with PC applications questions


·

Assist in the day to day operations of the Information Technology Department


·

Professional attitude and work habits.


·

To enhance technical expertise through education, project assignments and professional activities
